My practice of art and craft cross paths with each other in technique, materials, ideas and style. The things that divide them can be hard to define; a shift in focus, location or expectation.

My current studio work consists of multiple small irregularly rectangular woodcuts. Color that references the natural world contrasts with architectural shapes and nailed up on the wall or lying flat, I am interested in the art object as a physical, representational and intellectual entity that a viewer must negotiate with. The piecing together of this current work reflects the desire to pick and choose the best characteristics of a given piece and provided an obvious opportunity to extend into collaboration with artists and fellow studiomates Michelle Johnson and Elizabeth Mauceli.
